Day 1: Fes
Arrival and welcome by your guide. Transfer to your riad in the medina. Free time, dinner and overnight stay in a comfortable riad in the medina of Fes.
Day 2: Fes
After breakfast we head to discover the bustling, imperial and ancient city of Fes, the oldest and largest medieval city in the world. Its medina is a heady mix of aromas, sounds and sights. To navigate, follow one of the five, themed tourist circuits. There are plenty of mosques and palaces to visit, but be aware that only Muslims can enter mosques in Morocco. Lunch will be served in a traditional restaurant in the old town. After exploring dye-pits, tanneries and restaurants, we return to our hotel for dinner and overnight in Fes.
Day 3: Fes – Volubilis – Meknes – Rabat
Departure from Fes early in the morning with stops to visit the Roman ruins of Volubilis and the imperial city of Meknes. Lunch will be served in a restaurant in Meknes. After lunch continuation to Rabat. Arrival late in the afternoon, dinner and overnight stay in a cosy riad or hotel in Rabat.
Day 4: Rabat – Casablanca – Marrakech
After breakfast city tour of Rabat including the Hassan Tower, Oudaya, the Mausoleum of Mohamed V and Chellah. After lunch continuation to Casablanca for a quick city tour including the stunning Hassan II mosque with the tallest minaret and the third largest mosque in the world – it can hold 25,000 worshippers at a time. Departure to Marrakech in the afternoon. Dinner and overnight stay in a luxurious riad in the old town.
Day 5: Marrakech
After breakfast the whole day will be dedicated to the discovery of the Red City: the Imperial city set against the snow-capped Atlas Mountains. Its great pride and landmark is the Koutoubia Tower, sister to the Tower of Hassan in Rabat and the Giralda Tower in Seville. Lunch will be served in a traditional restaurant. Continuation of the visit in the afternoon. After the visit we will head back to your riad for dinner. Overnight stay in Marrakech.
Day 6: Marrakech – Telouet – Ait Ben Haddou – Ouarzazate
After breakfast departure to Ouarzazate, the gates of the desert, passing through the High Atlas mountains. On the way we will stop to have a cup of mint tea in a berber village and continute to Telouet for a guided visit of the beautiful Kasbah of Pacha Glaoui. After lunch we will continue to Ait Ben Haddou for a guided visit of this Kasbah which is a UNESCO heritage site. We will arrive to Ouarzazate in the afternoon for dinner and overnight in a comfortable guest house.
Day 7: Ouarzazate – Skoura – Kelaat M’gouna – Boumalene Dades
After breakfast we will have a city tour of Ouarzazate before heading to Skoura to admire the magnificent palm groves and oasis. Continuation to Kelaat M’gouna where the famous rose festival is held annually where we will visit a local co-p producing the rose water. After lunch continuation to the gorges of Dades, dinner and overnight stay in a modern hotel.
Day 8: Boulmane Dades – Todra gorges – Errachidia – Merzouga
After breakfast we will enjoy the Dades gorges and head to the south of Morocco with a stop in Todra to admire the gorgeous gorges. 7After lunch we will continue to Errachidia and on to the dunes of Erg Chebbi in Merzouga. Dinner and overnight stay in a comfortable desert camp in a Saharan atmosphere.
Day 9: Merzouga – Erfoud – Errachidia -Midelt
After breakfast camel ride in the dunes and off to Erfoud to visit the fossil factory before starting the route to Midelt through the Middle Atlas mountains. Lunchbreak in Errachidia and continuation to Midelt. Arrival to Midelt late in the afternoon. Dinner and overnight stay in Midelt.
Day 10: Midelt – Ifrane – Fes
After breakfast departure to Fes with a stop in Ifrane which looks just like a Swiss resort and is considered the second cleanest town in the world. After lunch continuation to Fes. Arrival to Fes in the afternoon, dinner and overnight stay in a cosy riad..
