Departure from your hotel at 07h30, destination to the pass of Tizi N’ Tichka (2260m altitude). Just after the pass, our Ouarzazate day trip from Marrakech turns left and we fnd ourselves on the ancient route caravans used to bring the much sought after goods at the court of the Sultan. We soon reach Telouet and its former pasha’s palace dominating the village, a fortifed citadel that is both a microcosm of an empire and its demise in the afternoon then is the time to visit Ait Ben Haddou, the postcardlike UNESCO adobe citadel.

A fat, red sun, only underlines the beige tones of the mud and straws mixture and through the covered passages and stone walls, the past flters itself into the present. In spite of the local ‘guides’, the best is to just lose yourselves in its alleyways.

There is always a new way to reach its peak, from where the snowcapped Atlas Mountains framed by the denim blue sky will steal your breath away, If the climb up hadn’t already. Half hour later, our trip crosses Ouarzazate, made Famous by its flm studios where scenes of ‘Game of Thrones’ and ‘Gladiator’ were shot.

Finally you will visit the Famous Kasbah of Taourirte that was built in the 18th by the powerful Glaoui Family. We will then start our way back crossing the High Atlas, this time on the tarmac road that used to be the route frst laid out by the French Foreign Legion over the Atlas Mountains. The excursion serpents it’s way past abrupt valleys and mountain peaks to reach Marrakech later in the evening .

Day 5: Ait Benhaddou – Kelaat M’gouna – Boumalene Dades

After breakfast we will head to Kelaat Mgouna where the famous rose festival is held every May. After lunch we will head to discover the Dades gorges and afterwards we will check in and dine at a cosy hotel at Boumalene Dades.

Day 6: Dades – Todra gorges – Erfoud – Merzouga

After breakfast we will head to discover the gorges of Todra and have lunch before starting our trip to the south of Morocco. We will visit the fossil factory in Erfoud and an ancient village where you will witness a folkloric performance and from here you will have a camel ride to the dunes of Erg Chebbi where dinner and campfire will be awaiting you. Overnight in a luxury desert camp.

Day 7: Merzouga – N’koub – Zagora – Mhamid

After breakfast departure to the desert of Mhamid through Agdez , where the Draa valley starts. You can watch the valley unfold before your eyes with its 1000 kasbahs and never-ending palm tree groves. Stop in Zagora for lunch and on to Mhamid where we will leave the vehicle and take the camels for a 2 hour ride to arrive to the desert camp in Erg Chegaga dunes.

Day 8: Mhamid – Zagora – Ouarzazate

Sunrise in the desert, breakfast, then back on the road towards the largest dry lake in Morocco: Iriqui. Break for tea with nomads. Then we cross the Dakar path, towards Foum Zguid for lunch. Then on to Taznakht to discover how Moroccan carpets are made. Arrival to Ouarzazate late in the afternoon where you can choose to spend the night in a cosy riad or hotel. Free evening in the “Hollywood” of Morocco.

Day 9: Ouarzazate – Oasis of Fint- Marrakech

After breakfast city tour of Ouarzazate including the visit of the famous cinema studios and the Taourirt kasbah. After passing through the Oasis of Fint lunch break on the road on the Tichka pass. Return to Marrakech in the afternoon. Dinner and overnight stay in a comfortable luxurious riad in the medina.

Day 10: Marrakech – Casablanca

Your adventure tour ends after breakfast. According to your flight schedule transfer to the airport of Casablanca and assistance with registration. End of services.
